"A Brief Guide to Paignton"

"A Brief Guide to Paignton"," Paignton has many attractions that appeal to people of all ages and draw thousands of them to the seaside town each and every year. Not only are they beautiful to look at but also according to the BBC Coast program in 2007 they are also the best sand in England for building sandcastles! The English Rivera boasts 22 miles of coastline with 20 beaches to choose from that offer something for everyone. Paignton Zoo is rightly regarded as one of the UK's top zoos. Here you can find all your favourites such as lions, tigers, rhinos, giraffes, elephants and many, many surprises too. Amongst this lush tropical swamp you can come face to face with Nile, Cuban and Saltwater crocodiles as well as turtles, fish and even large snakes. Take a trip and enjoy 7 miles of gorgeous scenery as the train takes you from Paignton along the coast to Churston then through woodland slopes on the edge of the Dart estuary to Kingswear. What better way to end the day than take a sunset walk along the sea front and stop off in a wonderful local restaurant serving fresh local produce, or pop into an old Devon pub for a pint and some wholesome food or just buy some fish and chips and eat them on the beach as the sun goes down.
