A Few Ideas of What to Put on a Flyer

Marketing flyers are one of the most inexpensive ways to grow a small business. If written correctly, these small sales letters have the power to bring in new customers and grow a bootstrapping business.
The six must-have items for a successful marketing flyer:
1. A headline that draws in the reader- Without a catchy headline that pulls the reader in and makes her ask for more, the rest of the flier will be wasted. When writing a headline, show your reader exactly how the information in the flyer will solve his most burning problem.
Avoid asking yes or no questions in the headline and avoid using too much hype. The ideal headline will create a curiosity in your reader, prompting to want to know more. Never give your entire offer away in the headline. The whole purpose of the headline is to get the prospect to keep reading the rest of the material.
2. A star of the flyer- Successful flyers tell a story that involves a protagonist with a problem. The "star" will be an example of an underdog that had a serious problem, used the tools discussed in the flier, and then solved the problem.
3A story- The best flyers tell a story, using the star, showing that person at her worst, became introduced to your product, and then came out the other side with the problem solved.
4. A solution- The solution is the moral to the story. The solution places your product up against the star's problem and delivers the ultimate solution to the problem. The perfect solution is one that can only be solved by your product.
Your customer will need a powerful reason why she should continue to engage with your flyer. If your solution is bold enough and unique enough to your product, you're more likely for the customer to take some sort of action.
5. A powerful guarantee- Once you have the reader's attention, you've got to remove as much of the risk as possible. A powerful guarantee helps to calm the reader's skepticism, because she knows that she can always get her money back if the product doesn't deliver as promised.
6. Ask for some kind of action- Ask the reader to call a number, visit a website, make a purchase, or send in some information. Without a call to action, all of your work on the flyer will be wasted. The call to action in the key ingredient towards motivating your prospect to ask for more, and eventually establish a relationship with you.
